After a decade of scientific and technological research, we have successfully developed the world's first scalable power-grid-free H₂ production system via photovoltaic catalytic water splitting.
Unlike traditional water electrolysis to H₂, this technology directly and rapidly decomposes H₂O molecules into massive H₂ gas under sunlight through nanoscale photovoltaic catalytic reactors. This technology avoids the use of high-quality and expensive ultrapure freshwater, instead employing various types of low-cost and widely accessible water sources (e.g., seawater, rivers, rain, and even polluted water).
We are achieving a game-changing breakthrough of "large-scale green H₂ production from seawater under light irradiation". Against the backdrop of the global green H₂ industry's strong dependence on electrolyzers, the scarcity of high-purity freshwater resources, and the constraints of constructing power grids, this technology is expected to reshape the paradigm of green hydrogen production.
